  4. Did you know that Retro is latin, and means "back"? You didn't?
  5. Well, I guess this was the first thing you ever learned from "retro",
  6. but believe me, it won't be tha last.
  7. We are here to educate you, to scholar you, and to supply you with
  8. facts, opinions, news and interviews. Our goal is to become the leading
  9. scandinavian mag, then to capture the harts of sceners world-wide!
  10.  
  11. This is the first issue of "retro", born within the norwegian group 
  12. Instinct. In case you didn't know, Instinct has about 25 active members,
  13. but is continually looking for more. Instinct is beginning to become 
  14. quite professional, and with our two new mags, NorskToppen and Retro, 
  15. we believe that we have taken the first few steps to becoming great, 
  16. in the words right meaning.

  18. Reading this text, please be aware of the fact that since this is the 
  19. very first issue of Retro, it isn't too professional. It doesn't have 
  20. superb graphics, it doesn't contain any super interviews, it doesn't have
  21. too many articles, and it doesn't have a determined image. Yet.
  22. In the next issue, many of these apparent flaws will be fixed, and we aim
  23. to provide you with colour-text, text-wipes, interviews and other neat 
  24. stuff we KNOW that you will like.

  26. Also, being the first issue and all, getting support has been quite 
  27. hard; asking around for articles has taken a lot of time, and resulted
  28. in nearly nothing. So, to those of you still reading this lame intro-
  29. text, please support us, or we'll come home to 'ya house, and eat 'ya
  30. phocking dawg. We need an intro-picture for the next issue, and some
  31. modules. We, the Retro-staff, will select the best of both.
  32. The future of Retro is in your hands. (Yes, you!)

  34. Anyway, I guess a brief explanation is in it's place, helping you 
  35. through the maze of buttons on the menu... (Eh?)
  36. The arrow pointing to the left, will take you one page back.
  37. The arrow pointing to the right, will take you one page forward.
  38. ...And last, but not least, the button in the middle ("M") which will
  39. take you to the main-menu.

  41. The intro-picture you all eyed before stepping into the world of Retro,
  42. was drawn by PSyChO of Instinct in hires 256 colours, before being 
  43. converted due to... Eh... Some coding-problems... ;) into lowres 64 col.
  44. So if you think it's a little bit grainy, it's because of the conversion.

  46. Also, we here in the Retro staff, were wondering if you guys would like
  47. a small chart in Retro. Perhaps we could specialize in weird charts,
  48. such as "Best food", "Best movie", "Best handle" and so on...
  49. What do you think? Give your opinions to our official speaders!
